Hi all, just had to post as I'm absolutely egg-static. We've had Buttercup and Daisy for ten days and they both laid their first egg today!!!! One was 41g and the other 42g. They look so tiny next to Emily's egg (71g today). Will they get bigger the more they lay?

 

I just can't believe how perfectly formed they were and am just so proud of them both

Yes they do get bigger, ours are laying bigger fatter eggs now. Had first double yolker last week soooo eggciting!!! I just wish Pecky would get her gear together and lay!!!! feels like she's never gonna lay!!!

Two first eggs in one day, hope you did that dance! Yes, they will get bigger, and they should become regular too, they may be a bit irregular to start with.

The eggs will get bigger - ours have been increasing gradually since they started laying!

My Daisy's like your Pecky, hasn't shown any sign of wanting to lay. unless you count sulking in the nestbox tonight...

congrats mine tok quite a while to lay, Amber missed 1 day but other than that they have laid every day since starting so late starting doesnt seem too bad now!
