chrisnrob
Yes I made that once out of curiosity....and wasn't disappointed....it was delish! I once made it on a yacht in Gibraltar with a paraffin stove and it worked just fine!! Rob
starboyhull
I made this last night with normal coke........Was very surprised how nice it was When I told my dad (former chef - LONG time ago) I was cooking it in coke he didnt look impressed, turned out really well though........I used the water I had cooked it in to make a sauce, although it was very sweet did make a nice addition.... chrisnrob
It's always the way the coke 'seperates' during cooking that makes it look a little 'dodgy' to me!! Rob

chrisnrob
that sounds fab. Which bit? The dessert was great. Cooking in a confined galley with a temperamental paraffin stove is not to be recommended! Especially when you've had to track down a 'specialist' shop in order to buy Muscovado sugar Rob
