Ardene5 Posted May 25, 2008 Share Posted May 25, 2008 Hello Just checking the spare eglu this evening, just after our girls had gone to bed, this eglu is used by some of our hens to lay in. Tonight we found an egg almost twice as big as we have usually been getting from them that is between 55 to 75 grams. Tonight we have 110grams! This could explain why we have a hen looking a bit under the weather if she has laid this extra large egg it will have taken it out of the poor thing. Abbey Road Girl Posted May 31, 2008 Share Posted May 31, 2008 Crikey, I was amazed at finding a 75g egg the other day (ouch!) when my hens had been laying modest 35-45g eggs.
