lisaroo2
A daft question I know...but stick with me... ...have been out to collect the eggs a while ago (mainly to shut Maisie up who was bok-boking in her loudest and most highest pitched voice yet!) and there in the nest box were 2 eggs, one of which is speckledy! Both Maisie and Rosie have laid uniform plain brown eggs up until now, so where has this come from? Why the sudden change from plain to speckledy? Has now completely confused me as I know don't know who's laid which egg!!
meezers
Could it be Daisys' first ? ( just looking at your signature) My Elsie seems to change shell colour on a whim - the first time she did it, I thought Bluebelle had laid two eggs at once as they were identical ! Now she's copying Hatties Unless I catch them in the nestbox and remove the eggs immediately, there are always a couple that confuse me
Blackrocksrock
I used to have 2 brown layers - one dark and one light and one creamy egg - now I have one light brown and 2 creamy eggs - wonder why they do this one.......
Mutrix Farmers
I've given up trying to guess who's laid what. 2 share the nest box and lay simultaneously (could this be a new Olympic sport - synchronised egg laying??). Charlotte lays about an hour after the other two so she's the only one I can positively identify! I still record the weights though!
