E4eggs
I know that everyone proudly tells of how soon they collect their first egg from their girls, but what is the longest time someone has gone before a hen lays an egg? I've had my two Omlet girls (Tracey and Liz) for seven and a half weeks now and Tracey (Miss Pepperpot) lays beautifully along with our two ex-batts. Liz (Gingernut) who seems to be the ruler of the roost has yet to lay an egg. She is the typical playground bully!! Everything is settling in so nicely now, just five weeks ago I contacted the forum as the two ex-batts were being so victimised by 'The Krays' as I started calling Liz and Tracey, but with the help of the 'Bumper Bits' life for the girls is just peachy! Also I was reading an interview recently where Les Dennis had been made fun of for talking to hens in the Big Brother House (which I never watch). I'm puzzled - for that fact alone he shot right up in my estimation!!
Stevie
I've had my Eglu 6 weeks now and got a Miss Pepperpot & Gingernut ranger as part of the package. The pepperpot started laying 4 weeks ago,but the Gingernut laid her first egg yesterday! I always knew there was an age difference and yours might be young too or atleast a late developer.
