Ain't Nobody Here
Molly's showing signs of broodiness again . Do you think this * dog crate * would work as a broody cage? Does it have to have a wire floor? What size do you reckon would be OK - would the 24" be too small ? Any opinions/advice gratefully received . Egluntyne
I would turn it upside down ao that she can feel the cooling breezes lift her petticoats, Apaert from that it looks fine. It will need raising on bricks though.
Tessa the Duchess
That looks perfect ANH and what a good price It says it's big enough for a Jack Russell so must be ok for a teeny chicken. I think the open wire bottom is crucial because you are trying to cool down the chicken's bum. It says the tray slides out so you could do that, hopefully there is wire underneath. Cooks
I have a dog crate in the garage and the sliding tray bit doesn't (on mine) have any mesh under, therefore it would be completely open if removed, but the suggestion to turn it upsdie down is brilliantly simple. good price!
