Feeding advice for bantams (one broody, one moulting)

We got three new girls last Friday to add to our fiirst two - at the moment they are seoarate during the day and sleep together at night.They are all a bit scared of the big girls but eating and drinking OK. But Sadie's tail is nearly always 'down' (she is a speckeldy) is she OK? Does this mean anythin? advice pls

Is her comb pale aswell? They say that's a sign they not well. Maybe she's feeling under the weather. Or could be this horrible rain, mine have all had their tails down today because they don't like the rain. A sick hen just sits there with eyes shut not doing much all day. But as long as she eating drinking ok, perhaps see how she goes.

Mine didn't hold their tails constantly erect until they were all laying.

maybe shes a bit bullied by the others in the pecking order and shes feeling sad..? when they dustbath they have thier tails down so i always thought it was a sign of relaxing..

She may be just a bit stressed.

 

As long as sh is eating and drinking that is the main thing.

 

A few drops of Bach's Rescue Remedy in her drinking water can help.

Yes I think it may be stress and upsat at bullying. At the weekend we will let them all together and see what happens. I will keep an eye on her - they are all so lovely, why can't they just be friends

 

I will try the rescue remedy too - thanks Egluntine (have followed your earlier tip and they are now eating their treats together through the wire).
