Ambulance Girl
Hi thanks for all the interest in my chooks, tried to take photos no good not very good photographer or maybe chooks not very good models, they keep moving, (is this my good side, is that my good side, is my bum too big) but will continue to try. Vera the vulture has laid her first egg now, and I must say is steadily improving in the looks department. Sibble is very proud of herself after having laid a 76gm egg today. We are thinking of adding to our flock a couple of white chooks can anyone recommend a hybrid and breeder in the South East of England. Lewis
I brought 2 White Stars from Cotswold Chickens in Banbury, (along with 2 Black Stars). The white stars have died unfortunately , but they looked in good condition and they died on bonfire night due to fright I think , and Matilda + Theodore are still getting on great. The website is: Cotswold Chickens The man there, is called Jude and they have been really helpful with giving info about the chickens via e-mail. n2hec
Actually the lady there is called Jude !!!! We got our first 3 girls from her and they are wonderful. Unfortunately she hasn't had the variety of hybrids lately, but I would be more than happy to recommend her.

Gallina
Cotswold Chickens are great for hybrids. Omlet get their hens from them. They have a limited range but they are all good layers. I can recommend Bluebelles and Amber Stars. Look at the website first to check availability: http://www.cotswoldchickens.com/ I knew that Jude was a woman (I assume it is short for Judith) because I met her. But I did think Jules on this forum was a man until yesterday -- as in Jules Verne, I suppose. If she is reading this, could she please put me out of my misery and tell me who the man is in her avatar as it obviously isn't herself? (I should know better than to trust avatars -- I am not a hen, incidentally.)
