I'm stuck at school waiting for a parents' meeting at 7pm so I've just sat and had my take away dinner and a cool diet coke with our hens and ducks.

 

I feel so chilled out it's fantastic. Every school should have some!

Our school has ducks wandering around the field but not pet ones...or chickens.

Am sharing my school office with my colleagues 10 week old springer spaniel puppy at the moment. Am not getting much work done i can tell you!

Our school used to have a mini-farm with goats and poultry. Sadly the rural science course was stopped and the animals sold. The boss isn't keen on my idea to reinstate them.... boo hiss!

What a shame Children get so much from animals, esp those who do not have any at home

Isn't it? No chance of reinstating the course as students who want to take it can access it at the next high school over - shared provision. So I'm unlikely to get chickens into our school, but am making no secret that I think it'd be a good idea!
