So i have a few questions about the Eglu CUBE and wonder if anyone can answer them....

 

Firstly is it true that the CUBE leaks? What happens if this happens? Can I get a refund?

 

Secondly is it true that the CUBE keeps red mite at bay?

 

Thirdly how many egg laying places are there in the cube?

 

Thats all my questions for now, if i think of some more ill be back!!

Only got mine yesterday

Leaking- I have no idea if mine does, I hope not. If it does they send out a retro leak kit if your cube was not already sent to you with it installed.

My cube has wooden roosting bars *sob* so there is a palce for red mite to hide- the new plastic ones should in theory not harbour red mite.

Nestbox- it's just a long rectangular nestbox, I reckon all 4 of my hens could be in there at once if they wanted to.

Mine doesn't. You would have to speak to Omlet about the refund. There is a 30 day money back guarrantee, but you foot the bill for shipping.

Yes as they live mainly in wooden structures. As the cube is plastic, the risk is reduced.

Thirdly how many egg laying places are there in the cube?

There is one large area for egg laying, suffiecient for 3 or 4 hens to lay

Ive just posted a message about this. My cube comes in two weeks and I read that the cubes did have leak problems, but this was this time last year. Im really worried about it as it took me ages to save for it. I thought the roosting bars were plastic!!? Whats the point of having a plastic cube but wooden bars?

You asked if anyone was still having problems, if no one answered, hopefully it means no one is!

My minor leaks have been resolved by the retro fit pieces that were sent out. So hopefully the new cubes have the problem resolved
