It seems that after 11th of June you will be able to get it on pay as you go, but the phone will cost more. Nothing confirmed at the moment.

ohhhhhh - iphone on pay as you go 8)8)8)8)

I have Macs and Ipods and have thought for ages about the iphone............ but not at £35 a month on contract.........if ti came out on pay as you gone I would seriously consider it as my phone is on its last legs 4 years old and has been dropped far too many times

just don't tell DD :wink::lol::lol:

I love Nokias and the really fancy an N95 :D

I am a Nokia lover and have had about 6 or 7 of them, my latest being an N95 BUT I wouldn't recommend one myself. They have a lot of issues, softward glitches etc. - if you look online there are whole forums dedicated to discussing the various problems with them. As I say, I love Nokias and would never have imagined myself saying this, but I think I'll get something else next time. The battery life is awful on them (because they are so sophisicated and have so much in them!) - I have to charge mine pretty much every day.

I had been lucky with mine, it only switched itself off sometimes and the voice receiver only failed to work about every 6th call, until a few weeks ago when it switched itself off, never to come back on again. My neighbour got his a month or so after me, and his did the same on Saturday!! Bizarre. Some of the issues may have been sorted out by now (mine was about 15 months old when it died on me) but my N70 had a mood of its own too.

I'm not meaning to be a doom monger as I know of people who've had them with no problems, but I know more people who are on their 3rd or 4th N95 in a year!!

I would but I'm not out of contract for another 6 months. Mind you I ran paralell contract for 2 months to upgrade from the N80 to the N95! So I might just get it soon after it comes out.

I use my phone for a LOT of the functions. Just today I used the camera to take phote's of my year 7 class to put in their "yearbook"

We've even used the GPS in a lesson!

I have to say that the camera on the N95 is amazing. I have taken incredible close up shots of flowers etc. with it.

I'm just sad that it's had problems and then just switched itself off a few weeks ago.....I'm using my old 7610 at the moment and it's not the same. It's made me nervous to invest in another N series though, which is a shame because when they do work, I think they are the BEST!

I had the N80 before the N95, both have been prone to occasional crashes but have always recovered well. I would say this happens about once a month!

Considering the amount of times I drop my phone, the ends are chipped but the phones don't break. The iPhone has a glass screen (hence the weight) and I guess I'd break it in a month.

Desite all of the problems with the iphone, and that its not a particularly good phone in comparison to the N95 - the iphone is still in the sub zero section of my ICT cool wall - it may not be great but it is COOL!

Oh back to the N95, one of my students just upgraded to the 8gb version and sold his year old one for £120 on Ebay - he said the same as me, wouldn't have happend with an iphone as he would have broken the screen before his year was out!

The iphone is really light, compared to a N95, I would say they weigh the same. Also the iphone screen is really tough, and its scratch proof!

(I do know a lot about iphones, as I was the (one of the) first people in the UK to use one :D)

Its not the scratching that would worry me, scratches can be avoided with that special film stuff.

Its when you drop them on concrete! TBH thats what makes me think the N95 is tough - the ends are chipped and the battery and case usually flies off but the phone is fine after!

The iphone isn't for me anyway, it just doesn't have enough features and the non 3g version is just useless - I live in a house where I only get 3g. Oh and O2 doesn't work here...
