I only collected my four girls a week ago and wasn't expecting any eggs for a while.. in fact went and bought 1/2 dozen on same day!

 

My Pied surprised us her first morning by producing a egg .. and has continued for the last 7 days without missing a step

 

I was last on list to try them and felt bit funny about eating them anyway but today was my turn and it turned out to be a double yolker! what a lovely surprise and wow don't they taste so much better

they taste great dont they!.. I gave 4 eggs the other day to my parents - having only two hens we dont have a huge supply of eggs, they commented how yellow the yolks were

We've had one a day since Tuesday. I must admit when I cooked them Friday night at first I felt a bit funny about it but they were delicious
