pepe
Ive los tmy little rabbit. They have been free ranging in the garden now for a few months, at the weekend the boy escaped next door, but came back, I made it all secure, well so I thought, let them out yesterday tea time, 15 mins later they were both next door, he came back but she went under their fence and got under our decking. We pulled up a plank and there she was, but she would not come out, so we lef food around and kept watch, we didnt see her after 9pm, and still no sign, I've let neighbours know. The gardens are quite secure and all have old victorian walls along the bottom. I just dont know where she is the boy is looking so sad, and if she does'nt come back I have said I won't get another, our garden is'nt probably the best, we moved last year. So thats another dilema, have you ever had any bunnies go missing, did they come back, shes a rescue and was found wandering, I thought abandoned, but maybe not, she probably escaped before. Thankyou for reading this, sad lady
FruitandNutCake
I'm so sorry - I know how upsetting it is to lose a rabbit. Only the other day I thought I'd lost my Steffi as she wouldn't come back when I called her, and couldn't see her anywhere. I couldn't find any way she could have escaped. Eventually she came out of the shrubs when it got dusk and I was so relieved. I would just knock on all your neighbour's doors, and let them know she is missing - hopefully she will reappear. Also try to go out as it gets dark with a torch - they are quite nocturnal and often hide during the day to shade from the heat. You may spot her when it is darker. catherinee99
My neighbour's rabbit spent about 2 months escaping and kept being returned by everyone down our street. She rabbitproofed her garden and we haven't seen him eating our plants for ages. I always saw him late at night when it was quiet, usually hopping up our drive. Basically do not give up- sit in your garden in the twilight and get up really early when it is still quiet and walk round the area, you may well see her hopping around. Take some tasty treats to tempt her back. You just need to be quiet and not panic her if you see her as she may be a bit disorientated. Put notices up and get everyone to check their sheds and gardens. Perhaps contact local rescues in case she is handed in?
