Yey, Blackie has just (and I mean just!) laid her first egg. We were about to mow the lawn when she disappeared into the eglu so I made the OH wait until she came out just in case, and there it was all 39g of perfectly formed, hard shelled loveliness.

 

So proud!

oh bless!, I loved it when I got our first egg from Sugar and then later that day got the second first egg from Cocoa..

 

It never gets less exciting for me though, everyday I get excited that they have laid.
