holly, our ross lohmann hybrid started laying about two weeks ago.

 

she laid an egg everyday for 10 days, then three days off, and today she has laid a tiny (and i mean tiny - smaller than bantam size) egg..

 

just wondered if this could be a sign of any problem, or is it just part of the settling down process?

I would think it is part of the settling down process.

 

Mine started laying about 6 weeks ago and every now and then one of them lays a tiny, funny shaped egg with a hard shell which is perfect inside.

 

If she is eating, drinking and behaving normally then I wouldn't worry.

I shouldn't think it is anything to worry about at this stage.

 

Her next egg could be a double yolker.

 

It takes a while for them to get fully into the swing of things.

i will photograph it for evidence, would weigh it but we haven't got very accurate scales
