When it was very hot a few weeks ago I left a cat litter tray of water out in case they wanted to cool off - I even tried to encourage them by throwing some mixed corn in - they just lent over and ate the corn/drank the water, but not keen to actually go in.

We have put one of our girls (Pootle) in a bath but that was a cold bath when she was broody. She didn't mind standing in it but when the water went on her back she struggled. She much preferred the towel dry she got afterwards.

I think there is someone who has mini salon for their girls and dries then with a cool hairdryer on the forum.

I have a cat litter tray in the run which I fill with sand and soil for them to dustbath - they don't - they eat it instead! They then wait until a puddle forms if it rains and then they get in and get filthy!
