How Quickly Does Albendazole Work?

Whilst clearing out our very old shed this morning we realised what a state it was in and so it is in bits in our garden now whilst hubby does tip runs to get rid (It couldn't of been freecycled it just was such a mess and falling apart)

 

So we need a new one, I guess we could go upto £500 but prefer less lol. Can anyone recommend one please or somewhere good to buy a decent one.

 

Also is £500 enough to buy a decent one? Is pressure treated the best too?

You should be able to get a really decent shed for £500. For example, on this site below you could get a nice 10' x 6' tongue and grooved one for less than £500. They offer installation but I can't see what they charge for that. Will you be able to put it up yourselves as that will save a bit.

We have a plastic shed, it cost about £350. It's about 6' by 4' and it was easy to put up. We went for plastic because we didn't want to treat it every year. It depends on what size you want and what you keep in there! We got ours from B & Q.

Look in your local paper for shed companies. Local companies may offer free delivery and may even erect it free of charge, failing that they would most likely have charges for these two things cheaper than if you purchase from a national company.

 

Go and see what you are buying, they all vary in the quality they send out.

 

Avoid anything with OSB / Chipboard, especially on the roofs and floors, if it gets wet it disintergrates. Also the framing, make sure it's something more substantial than half inch by half inch.

 

Personally, I would get they Shiplap Tongue and Groove over an Overlap shed. Overlap boarding usually uses home grown timber that hasn't been fully dried - the drying out process in your garden means you often end up with gaps between boards. You can get a good grade overlap shed but you would pay big money for it.

 

Depending on wher you live, £500 should get you a good sized shed,

tanalized timber would again mean you would pay alot therefore reducing the size you could afford.

 

Most sheds are only Pre-treated, you would need to give it another coat of treatment on delivery with a Spirit based treatment to give the shed a longer life.

 

Plastic and metal sheds can sometimes sweat, causing condensation on the inside, so it really depends what you are keeping in there on whether they would be suitable.

I used a local shed company recently. 6'x10' pressure treated. £420 inc installation.

 

I had to have a base prepared, but that was OK as there was one there already which just needed some minimal tweaking.

we also have a 6' x 4' plastic shed by KETER. We got ours from B&Q but paid less than CHICKVIC (sorry)

 

It was really easy, I put it together on my own in about 90 minutes, and can be mover or re-modelled if needs be. We have recently re-sited ours so we needed to rotate it - as such, the window would've been against the wallso we took it apart and swapped sides in about 15 minutes.

We've used www.collissheds.co.uk for a few sheds but I don't think they'll deliver as far as you!

 

We went for Red Cedar as it doesn't need treating. The bigger shed we have is lined and was erected by the suppliers. We just had to prepare the base.

Well my old shed is completely ripped down and taken to the tip. Luckily the rain mostly held off today except for the thunder and rain which came as we were loading the car for the last time. Next weekend we shall be making the concerete base for the new shed (with chickens watching as they will be here by then YAY!)

 

I have seen a few sheds I like on this site.. www.shedscene.co.uk and it is just up the road from us so I might go and take a peek in the week, I have to go that way to get some things for the chooks from the horsey shop too.
