Phosphorus
Can't quite believe it. We are getting on average 5 eggs a day now - think they are all laying now as there was a very small softie in the droppings tray last night - proabably Rosie Thought I had better start to make them pay their way before I was overrun with eggs Anyway sent an email around to a few friends and one appeared on my doorstep the next morning and took a dozen My very first £2 (£1 for 6). It has gone in the girls' own little pot for pellets etc. So excited - I am so so sad
craftyhunnypie
Aw your hens have their own money box! Lovely! Wonder what they are saving up for? Hmm... Tin of sweetcorn? Box of mealworms? Chicken talc (Red mite powder)? Plastic roosting bars? A makeover (new sunshade)? Emma.x
Phosphorus
If they didn't still have a full box - mealworms - they love them
Electricbarbarella
I was planning on doing this, ie they have there own money box and their supplies come out of it, was telling my mum today and she said you won't have ay left to sell after you have had them, I ill have 6 a week, gran will have 3. She did say that she was happy to buy them but I dn't think I can sell eggs to my own mum, doesn't seem quite right somehow.
lisa33
I sell my eggs to family and friends too. I put the money in a money box which when full goes to the BHWT. No one minds paying for them.
Snowy
Well done! I find people love them so much, they would rather pay for them to ensure a regular supply! My family know I sell my eggs and insist on paying for them if I try to give them away. Very awkward, my Dad has snuck money into my hen money box before now! (I have a little pottery hen money box for their egg money)
