Smart Feeder - Light sensor values

This afternoon I have bought, a shower curtain, some bungee clips, a spray bottle.

Of course it hasn't come today it is only tuesday, this week is dragging so much, what if it doesn't come till 5.30pm on Friday, I want to collect my chooks sat morning, do I stay up all night I do have an outside light?

I think it's essential to stay up till it's built! It stays light pretty late so you might be ok!

Bought shed and filled it with everything I thought I could possibly need.. better to be well prepared though !

oh thank goodness - i've now realised what I've got - Chicken Feaver! I too am eagerly awaiting delivery of our first followed shortly by (hopefully) 3 hens from the BHWT. I'm absolutely busting with excitement and anticipation. I'm being very impatient and I want them now!

when are you getting the eglu, when's the rescue, I wish I had the confidence to take ex batts but I am very nervous about not knoeing what I am doing, I am hoping to get some ex batts in a year when I am more experienced. well done you.

Thank you. Eglu delivery is 21 July. We've been researching chicken care online and have read a couple of books and we feel that we'll be able to give them what they need. We've kept Chameleons and they have extremely specific requirements so we recon we can handle anything after them! Hopefully there wont be any big surprises (so if any of you experts could alert me to anything to look out for I'd be very grateful). Unfortunately I haven't yet heard back from the BHWT regarding the date but their websites list June/July/Aug as rescues in our area. I'm sure you would be fine with ex-batts. Remember what they've been used to - even if you didn't do a perfect job (but I'm sure you will do) it would still be miles better than what they're used to eh?! Perhaps give it some thought......
