craftyhunnypie
Hi - I've had a load of this in solid form hanging about for some time. Bought it originally to make some of Dilly's bath melts. But with limited ingredients to hand What can I make? I thought about grating some soap bars up, melting them, adding some Shea butter & maybe some oats and pouring the mix into moulds? Would it work or can you think of anything else I could make? Emma.x
gracefruit
If you have some beeswax handy, you can make a lovely lip balm.
Lesley
We'll have to get together then Emma! Is there a recipe for the proportions Savonista?
gracefruit
Try 10% beeswax and 90% shea butter. You'll probably want to package it in a pot instead of a push up tube. Another great recipe for shea butter is whipped shea. You use an electric whisk to whip the softened shea butter with a little liquid oil to make a gorgeous cream. I like to whip mine with either jojoba or avocado oil. It's great because you don't need a preservative.

gracefruit
Do you have any other oils like olive or avocado? You don't need shea butter. If you have beeswax, you can make a lovely balm with some kitchen oils. I formulate natural cosmetics for a living, so if you'd ever like help putting something together, please let me know!
