Yolky
How much time a day do your chickens spend resting? My three girls are all huddled up together having a rest at the moment (the children have moved from their run side vantage point to eat for 10mins and so I think that the chickens are enjoying the break from attention. I love watching them all sleepy together.
Electricbarbarella
are they lovely? Mine are, 2 of them haven't come out of the cube yet.
Yolky
They are lovely. Watching them rest is so relaxing. Rosey is really friendly and if she is near the side of the run you can put your fingers in and smooth her a little and she gives you a happy babble. I know you shouldn't have favourites but secretly she is mine the other two girls are lovely too. The pepperpot and rosey snuggled together last night, was really sweet. When Peaches came back in after her bocking session she tried to get underneath them lol.
jomaxsmith
Mine tend to have a power nap in a little huddle a couple of times a day. They didn't do it in the winter so I guess if they're awake for 16 hours a day or so they need a rest! As long as they are otherwise alert and feeding/drinking I don't think it's a problem. Stevie
Mine will often sit under my wooden bench for an hour or so after spending almost all day foraging around garden.Everything needs to take a breather-even chooks with busy lifestyles!
