4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

I have three ex-batts, but they are ageing and two have stopped laying so I was thinking of getting another chicken to keep the egg supply going.

 

I'm worried about getting one new chicken on its own as my ex batts are quite assertive (!) and I fear it will be bullied.

 

Would two bantams instead work or would three chickens and two bantams be too squished in a mk 2 eglu ? (They free range all day)

 

Any advice gladly received

Not a good idea to add one chicken I fear. It will be outnumbered and picked on, especially if the girls are assertive already.

 

Bantams may not fare any better.
