pbfhpunk Posted July 17, 2008 Share Posted July 17, 2008 As some will know DJ was attacked and now we have to keep her separate from the others. At the moment she's living in a box in our back porch until we get the sleepers to put round the new Eglu. Anyway after putting the Eglu together yesterday I put her in the run so she'd get used to it and then after about 20 minutes opened the door, she came out and went into the cube run so she could have a dust bath and all 5 of the others went into the Eglu run - idiots, cute but idiots! Anyway when it got to their bedtime we were outside just finishing up some garden stuff and they started making their way into the cube run which we thought was sweet, we were talking about if we should grab DJ before she went in there or wait till she was up in the cube and sleepy and open the lid and take her out, before we could decide, she broke off form the others and walked up to the house through the back door, stood by the box looked back at us and bok-boked to let us know she was ready to go to bed. Honestly I got a little lump in my throat, and said to my husband we should have children, after the differences between children and chickens were pointed out to me I realised I'd much rather have a flock of cute chickens!
