Electricbarbarella
does it mean when you go to pick them up or just when you walk near them, one of mine that I think looks neaarly ready crouched when I went to pick her up, all the other try to leg it, she did until I got quite close and then just bent down. Is that it, is it.
Yolky
I thought it was when you have your hand over their backs. My also sort of lifts her wings back a little like she is shrugging her shoulders when she crouches....is this a sign?
Sandychick
it is quite noticable when they do this. They crouch down, tail up with their wings out a bit. Mine do this when I pick them up or sometimes just when I walk close past them. Pepper crouches when I give her a nudge with a wellie boot to keep her the right side of the gate when I walk in! Electricbarbarella
I tested, back down, bum in air and wings every so slightly out as if she is shrugging when I strok eher back. yippee.
Hen Watch
I tested, back down, bum in air and wings every so slightly out as if she is shrugging when I strok eher back. yippee. Yep.... that's crouching. And they sort of freeze in that position for a bit too. Great for ease of picking them up.
