Janepie33
We have 4 girls in a cube and Biscuit, a broody girl sitting on 2 duck eggs in an Eglu. They free range when we are in and get shut in the run around 8.30pm - except when I go out it seems! DS (17 years old) was entrusted with ensuring the girls were safely locked up for the night, but when I went to let them out this morning, I found the run and the door of the Eglu wide open. I peeped into the nest box, expecting to find a pile of feathers and broken eggs, but lo and behold my broody girl fluffed up her tail feathers and purred at me, quite oblivious to the fact that she could have been eaten alive in the night. She was rescued from the jaws of a fox earlier on in the year and sew up at the vet's, where she laid an egg. What a lucky escape! Again!
