Since Tuesday i have suffered with puffy eyes, i thought it was conjunctivitus first and bought some cream but no good. Yesterday i looked a bit like the elephant man, but thought ok i'll go see doctor on Monday, we had a family BBQ for 18 today to sort, well hubbys side.

This morning i woke up felt a bit odd, looked in mirror and definatly looked like the elephant man and my lips and side of my face with worst eye were tingly and numb. I knew this was not good so at 9 this morning asked hubby to take me to casualty. I always feel a malingerer and they had trouble finding me on the hosp computer as not been in since youngest was born 17yrs ago lol

Well got seen by the nurse who gave me Piriton as i thought i shouldn't take anything today (take antihistamnies for my hayfever) and asked me to sit down, lol thougt yeah thats it i'm going home but then got sent to the doctor who got me to do a urine test in case of Odema (sp?) but wasn't that did blood pressure etc all ok then didn't really know what had caused it so gave me high dose steroids which seem to be slowing working now. Meanwhile i was supposed to be doing salad, rice, pasta etc

2hours lter 11am i get back and have to do them lol people arriving 12-1 but managed to do it in time!

i have the day off tomorrow as didn't know how i'd feel

Doc told me to get to my Docs and get allergy tested, pronto so will be doing that this week.

I think that you should be resting and not making food for everyone.

 

what did the visitors say to you? I dont think I would have stayed or at least I would have sent you to bed (or a comfortable chair) and taken over.

 

definitely sounds like an allergy , have you changed washing powder or something recently?

lol its his family they didnt even notice

I didn't feel too bad and it didn't say not to drink so i did lol made me feel much better. Once i'd sorted the food i sat for most of afternoon!
