How Quickly Does Albendazole Work?

Ok long story short I picked up my cat to cuddle him, very long haired, I felt something wet underneath him and picked it off, it looked like an earthworm, only a bit smaller, could have easily got tangled in his fur. Anyway easiest thing to do I walked over and chucked it in for the chooks who devoured it at a rate of knots.

Only then did it occur to me that it could be worm owrms, i have been and got wormer for the cats but am now worried that I have fed a parastie to the chooks.

Please tell meeither it would have been an earthworm as parasites don't look like that, or that it is ok anyway.

You can always worm the hens a s a precaution.

It was probably a slug, longhaired cats always seem to come in with a little collection of livestock!

 

It probably isn't anything that the girls wouldn't have picked up for themselves if they were free-ranging - they are bound to eat worms of all sorts. It's not very likely to be a chicken parasite if it was clinging to the cat, different species and all that!

yeah, I reckon a slug. my long-haired cats seem to love to bring them in!! (bless their little hearts...)

but that makes me feel a whole lot better, it was just my first instinct to feed a worm to the chooks, gave Charlie cat a good brush.
