Cinnamon
Can anyone recommend somewhere I can get some good value prescription sunglasses? My eldest girl wears specs & we really needed prescription sunnies when we were away, but don't really want to pay £100 for them! Also, can we just ask the opticians we use for her prescription & order them elsewhere from that or do we need to get her tested again? Paola
You can get the glasses anywhere, you do not have to use your optician and she will not have to be retested

redfrock
Hi Sarah I have prescription sunglasses. As others have said you can take your prescription to any shop. I have also previously used http://www.specsonthenet.com and http://www.glassesdirect.co.uk I have also just bought my latest glasses from Specsavers. They have extended their 2 for 1 offer until next Saturday and it is valid on all glasses between £75 - £125, and includes having one set as a prescription sunglasses pair. I also have a pair of reactolites for when I am on holiday so that I am not constantly having to switch glasses as we go in and out of places. HTH! Omletina Kyckling
I got my presc sunglasses from Boots - they had an offer on and I got some CK ones (short for Chicken, not Calvin Klein of course) for £49. I got my everyday glasses from Specsavers on their 2 for 1 offer. I just took my prescription from Boots with me, I think so long as it is less than about 2 years old they will use it.
