melly264
Hi, We stayed at a farm for a few days last weekend (had a great time thanks!) and although it was a dairy farm I was more enthralled with the chickens The chap there had a variety of different breeds, but one hen I fell in love with and as we are thinking of expanding I wanted to find out what it was. He said it was a 'little chicken' I have search through the breed list on this site and done various google searches and have found the 2 cockrels that I liked. They are old english bantams, with the shiny black/green and golden and white feathers. I think the hen I liked was the same breed, but I can't find any piccys of the hens. So the long and the short of it is does anyone have any piccys of a brown old eng. bantam hen, if so could you post them on this thread for me. Thanks
Snowy
I love the old english game bantams! I could only find this reference to a brown (actually a brown red). If you scroll all the way down, there are some pics (lots of lovely hens!) Is this the one you mean? Edited August 3, 2008 by Guest

jomaxsmith
They have them at Thornes in Letchworth, Herts - they are so dinky - just exactly like old fashioned chickens but pocket sized! I would love some! Jo
superjules
We nearly got one of those when we got the bantams. Karl "lovingly" described them as looking like rats on stilts!
