Tiggy
I've discovered some spidermites on my cucumbers and the plants look terrible, can I use diatom on them?
Blackrocksrock
Is that the little red ones? I used diatom in the greenhouse as I had slugs and put the diatom round the plant pots and round and in the growbags and not seen any since so I am sure it is fine to use. Blackrocksrock
Oh they are drastic if they get into the greenhouse! - sorry
Christian
Try increasing the humidity in the greenhouse. Water down the staging and floor and leave a couple of buckets of water around. They don't like it too humid.
Tiggy
thanks -- I've just read on the wigglywigglers site that DE is good in the greenhouse - I've burnt the cuc plants & canes, my tomatoes & peppers look OK - I'm going to pen my chooks in there when I clear out at the end of the season before planting up again - Im sure they wont mind picking out all the pesky blighters
