4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

Help!! I have managed to set up the eglu with the standard run on it but bought the extender too just trying to fit that on but having diffculty so thought I would post on here before I break any of the clips!!! Any advice pls?

Have you got the converter or just an extender? You need a converter to join onto the ordinary run,it has a slightly angled end to match up with the end of the run.

Help is at hand . It's a while since I fitted mine but I seem to remember you have to make doubly sure you've got it the right way round or it won't fit.

 

What problems are you having specifically?

Just read your new post, if you look hard you can see one end is slightly angled and the other end is straight, the angled end should match up easily to the ordinary runs end. Good luck.

I wonder if I have been sent the wrong one as it doesn't sit right either way I add it! ummm will pop back out and have another look!

just had another look and turned it every way possible, the way it fits best there is a bar that comes in at an angle and I cant get a clip round it, its definitely the one that came in the separate box and the other 2 I joined (the original ones) fit well especially at the bottom skirt bit where it angles out and fits well, the one I have is just level skirt without an angle! I'm prob confusing everyone now as well as myself!

Here's a photo (I've deliberately made it huge so you can see it).

 

You'll see that the "roof" flattens out a lot - don't know if this will help you or not . How about trying to fit the door on - I think it should only fit on one end as one end's narrower than the other.

Yeah thats helped me loads cos thats what I just had it fitting like where it joins on the the original (where your dark chook is) the gap is made smaller at an angle, I struggle with the clips though when it meets at the bottom will have another go if not will wait for hubby to suss out, he is stuck in traffic on motorway though booo!!!

When mine came the curve had been slightly flattened out by being squashed in the box,we just gently bent it back until it matched the curve of the run. If the end of the run angle matches one end of the converter it should be possible to join it, we started the clips at the top where the two halfs join and worked down, just carefully bending the converter to match the curve.

I ordered a converter and it arrived on Monday.

What I actually got was half of a converter and half of an extention.

 

One peice had a shaped end and the other peice had a straight end, and I had two pieces for the same side

 

Now the girls have got to wait till next Monday.

 

Do your two pieces match?

It did for a bit. Thought I was being thick! Well i was really. I went to the trouble of taking the front of the run off ( I hate those clips ) before I checked what I had. Won't fall for that again

Oh! I haven't checked mine either, was waiting for hubby to get in, need to get our little boy to bed first, plus I thought he might be a bit gutted if he has nothing to do to it hehe

We are getting our chickens from the Wernlas and they are going to give us a call when they are sexed, so they will all be about 12 weeks old when we get them.. so am hoping it will sometime this month but it depends on how many of the chicks turn out to be girls.. cant wait though, feel like I have been in suspence for ages!!

As you'll be getting them at 12 weeks don't forget that they'll need growers pellets until they're about 18 weeks old. I got Molly and Spice at a similar age and I could hold both of them in the palm of my hand still and they'd cheep!
