likeastar--x
My light sussex doesnt get dirty but when shes had a dust bath it really shows up and looks horrible, really scruffy. I wish you could dunk them in a bath and give them a good scrub

jomaxsmith
My coral likes a dustbath but doens't look grubby from it - just her legs. She seems to avoid mud and dirt. I think my Maran Cuivre's dirty bum looks much worse! Jo
Mrs Frugal
Debbie, my four white ones are filthy too. It's so embarrassing if anyone comes to see them. Jenny the Pepperpot and Coffee the ginger hen always look so nice then the Sussex Girls come out all streaky and grubby .
cluckbok
Ours never have dirty bodies or bums but they have a prob with dirty toes!! mud clings to their nails and we have to bath them in a washing up bowl in the garden and sometimes it still doesn't come off very easily! RubyReckless
Our White Star never was anything other than filthy! She looked like she'd been used to polish ditches - a total mud magnet. I'm sticking to darker breeds from now on.
