lisamarie
Hi we have just got two aylesbury ducklings, they are so sweet and love having a splash in the kitchen sink at the moment. We went out to find different prices on ponds today as we are going to put that out for them and fence around it so they have their own little bit of the garden,I havent seen any duck houses anywhere! On the internet they look lovely and ornamental but they are so pricey, has anyone made their own? How?Any photos? I guess it would be easier to make than a chicken coop,my other half(who now has dreams of being a farmer and chicken breeder I think!)well he built the chicken house and did a pretty good job so I reckon he will be quite good at the duck house. Ant info and advice is much appreciated on any subject of duck owning! holly-polly thumper fanny gertrude heidi dorrean angel and princess x
Lesley
Well, obviously, I'm going to say.......buy an Eglu! ....but, you could use a dog kennel and adapt it for easier cleaning?
rusky123
Had 2 runners for my birthday last christmas. Had to build them a pond. We just dug out a big hole, used a pond liner, but bought a big filtration system with extra filters. Only cost a little off e-bay, well about £80. Is working well, got 6 ducks on the pond now.Got a waterfall and fountain as well . My ducks are amazing, the 4 younger ones are in a rabbit hutch, going to put plywood over the 2 of the 3 opening doors, sawn the legs off, got a skimboard as a ramp. The 2 older ones have an ark, very pretty, does its job, but does not warrent its price I think. LOL Ducks are amazing, put them to bed in a cramped space they will let you know for 10 seconds!!, after that sleep

tom123
Have a look on www.Flytesofancy.co.uk and check out the 'Dinky Duck house'. It looks very very easy to make and would cost about £50 (Looks nice too!) Hope it all works out for you and your 2 Tom
