Got our 2 new GP's today and where they having been living is a little suspect.

 

Wanted to know whether I can use diatomaceous earth on GP's/their food/hutch etc.

I was just going to ask this question on behalf of my neighbours.

Is there not something about having to take care with D Earth to avoid respitory difficulties? Don't know where I heard that, but I take care around it as am asthmatic. I have also avoided using it with guineas as they can be susceptible to respitory difficulties. But I may have just remembered this wrong, so if anyone knows I too would be most interested.

Ivomec/ Ivermectin is fantastic for any skin complains on guinea pigs. We use it at our rescue and it clears problems up in a couple of days, we just put a dropper of it between their shoulder blades, it also clears up internal parasites.......don't use it on your hens though unless you are prepared to not use their eggs.

We've not tried this Diatomaceous earth on any thing yet.
