Hi My chicken onion is limping and we have looked in her foot and there is nothing in it and she keeps sitting down we have put her in the nest box.

One of ours, Betty hurt her foot on the run entrance - it took a good 3 weeks before it got better, but it did get better on it's own.

 

We confined her to barracks to make her rest it. First she was sitting down lots, then she would stand one legged, then she would gingerly try to put it down - as I said probably took about 3 weeks to recover.

I have had a lot of experience of chicken limps and discovered it was a calcium deficiency. Try looking at the sticky about it - it might help you out....

Let her rest for a day or two if it is a severe limp, otherwise she will try to keep up with the others and it won't have chance to settle.

 

Limestone flour added to her pellets might help.

It seems to be sold a lot by places that specialise in reptiles
