Do you or someone you know live on a diet of ready-made meals, junk food or take-aways? Are you a microwave maestro who idea of creative cooking means grating extra cheese over your micro-waved lasagne? Do you know someone who loves chicken but would run a mile if they saw one with feathers on? Or someone who loves eating bacon butties, but would squeal at the thought of a pig being slaughtered? If so, you might be able to help us. We are currently casting for the new Channel 4 series. We would like to find individuals and groups of people ie. Families, house-mates, work colleagues etc (group sizes should ideally be between 4-7) who are more in tune with their microwaves than their ipods, have the pizza delivery number on speed dial and whose idea of a balanced meal is not super-sizing it! Wel bring them down to the new River Cottage HQ, where I will attempt to change their ways forever. They don't fit the bill Mel, it's got to be someone who knows nothing about where food comes from and can't cook and live on take aways. You know, that would almost be worth living off mocrowave meals for a couple of months till the programme makers were convinced we thought eggs came from Tesco, and apples grow under the ground!
