Chook n Boo Mum

Canny chooks....and one mad mum!

Recommended Posts

Hi, I thought I'd share our Bluebell's latest "party-trick"!

Yesterday, she was standing on top of a small heap of scaffolding boards, creating absolute merry hell! I shot out of the kitchen worried that there was a fox around, only to find the other 2 chooks were nowhere to be seen! "please lt them be safe, bok bok bok...." I'm sure you get the picture! I then realised that Buttercup & Snowdrop had hopped over/under/through the stock (but not chook!) proof fencing to the compost heap again...and behind me was trailing Bluebell, who'd obviously been busy elsewhere & hadn't noticed the other girls going AWOL. Guess who she'd decided was the best chook detective - mum of course! Everyone I've told has been in fits, I just felt a bit silly :oops::lol:

This afternoon, she was squawking again! Oh my goodness, what's wrong now, where are they.....standing in the veg patch, with Missy Gobalot on top of a pile of pallets, hollering to her hearts content. I walked towards the gate & they all stood waiting to be let back into the garden.....................WHICH I DID!!!

I just hope the men in white coats don't visit our area very often....

"Ooops, word censored!"ody told me my loony side would come out even more with the chooks than it had with the dogs! All my friends thought I was a nutter before, now they know I am!!
