Ain't Nobody Here
Hi Ross Can't help with local "real" suppliers, but I've got a list of websites I've either used or just kept a note of. Don't know if that'll help! Here's my list. It's certainly not definitive - I've just kept a note of some sites that either I found to be cheap or that others have recommended. Sorry, I never got round to putting what could be found on each site so you'll just have to browse through them . http://www.barrier-biotech.com/range.php?rid=1&rt=Agricultural%20%3A%20Poultry http://www.alphahatch.com/stalosan-f-8kg-tub-ah671120-157-p.asp http://www.wormers.co.uk/ http://www.farmrite.co.uk/product.ds2?p=150436&ba=150436&q=1&x=70&y=7 http://www.smallholderfeeds.co.uk/ http://www.microshieldsolutions.com/agriculture/index.html http://www.ascott.biz/acatalog/Poultry__Birds__and_Animal_Feeds_.html http://www.flytesofancy.co.uk/acatalog/Plastic_Galley_Pots__3_.html http://www.birdcare.co.uk/Fancy_Poultry/fancy_poultry.html http://www.wigglywigglers.co.uk/shop http://www.tarpaulinsdirect.co.uk/TarpaulinsSite/pages/home/default.asp http://www.farmrite.co.uk/category.ds2?c=654 http://www.gjwtitmuss.co.uk/ http://www.domesticfowltrust.co.uk/catalogueindex.html http://www.whipperleys.co.uk/acatalog/bungee_cords_new_bungee_straps_rope.html http://www.regencypoultry.com/shoparea.asp?p=af4a39a9-c38f-43c7-8085-d147b3616a20 http://www.vetscriptions.co.uk/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=1&Product_Code=AVIPRO&Category_Code=&gclid=CIuImLHs7pECFQ7GGgodE2v3wQ http://www.livefoods.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=31 http://www.foranimals.co.uk/
Joojoo
Hi Ross Nice to see someone from Shrewsbury on here I get my supplies from: Nixons Farm Shop, Harlescott Barns, Harlescott Lane, Shrewsbury Great for organic and non organic layers pellets, layers mash, corn etc. They also sell easibed and will order Hemcore and Aubiose if you require it. You can also get hemcore from Wynnstay Farmers on the A53 Newcastle Under Lyme Road. They are about 3 quarters of a mile from the Island on the A49 (Shrewsbury Bypass). Meal Worms - you can get these from Charlies at Harlescott. £5 for a huge tub. Garden lime is cheap there too. If you need to know anything else, just shout Enjoy your hens. You'll wonder why you didn't get them sooner!! If you are new to the area and not sure where these places are, let me know and I'll send you directions. They are all within the town and really easy to get to.
TAJ
On the A5 roundabout before Chirk there is a great agri/pet shop - there is a big banner as you drive from Shrewsbury next to a garden centre. sells everything you need and very cheap for grit & mixed corn loose, sells flubenvet over the counter, plus food and all the extra's you could need.
