I'm sooooo excited went up to let the girls out to freerange and cassie one of our newbies has done her first crouch . She, along with Margot has been getting increasingly 'gobby' over the last few days too, definitely maturing I think

 

We have had them since 14 weeks and now nearly 10 wks later I think we're getting there.

 

Just need to make sure I get their eggs before bertha and prissy eat them when all out together. They have become yolk addicts, even chipped the paint of the ceramic egg with their persistence. Hmmm

It is exciting when they begin to crouch, maybe a week or so and you will have EGGS!!

Have you tried filling a blown egg with mustard? May need to just get one at the ready if they are likely to be egg-eaters!

Not as yet, but earlier I just went up to the run and she crouched down inside the run straight away - I must be an intimidating sight! Hoping for a weekend eggy will let you know...
