Hiya,

Getting a bit worried as I read that some Eglu delivery's are coming on the wrong day.

 

I work F/T so have to take a day off for the arrival. If they come a day late or early then I won't be here

 

Has anyone not been in when Omlet tried to deliver it?

If so, did they leave it at a local depot/post collection office? or did you have to re-schedule?

Hi, I wasn't at home when my cube was delivered and they left it all (5 huge boxes ) round the back for me.

I called Omlet in advance and asked them to let the courier know it was safe to leave it, might be worth a call to Omlet?

Thanks Greengirl, thats a good idea. I suppose I could leave my garden gate open for a few days and they could pop it through to the garden if they ariive when i'm not in.

I think if and when problems arise, it tends to be when omlet themselves aren't delivering it and its the courier...So if you are in the delivery area you should be ok....but if its the courier then you might find it turns up early...

Had 2 delivered to the doorstep but its very obvious that it can't be seen from the street.

we ordered ours and took a day off work to wait in for it, only to return from work the Friday before with a card through the door saying they tried to deliver it but we were not in, we rang them and they delivered it on the day they were supposed to. A little annoying but we did get it and are very happy with it.

My eglu was due to arrive Monday just gone, but last Thursday I rang Omlet to confirm that they were still delivering on the 15th. Gwen informed me that she has just dispatched it and it could be 1 day either side. I explained that I am self employed and will not take a day off if it cannot be guaranteed and that there is no access to my house as my gates will be locked (2m high).

 

anyway she rang me back last Friday to say that it will be delivered on Friday...they arrived 10mins earlier

 

Today I got a phone call from Omlet to say delivery man is outside my house with my missing box (which I did not notice...shame on me) and where could he leave it.

 

Maybe you should call her and ask her for advice

My eglu arrived a day early when I had popped out to pick up the kids from school, hubbie was actually in but never heard delivery man, but boxes were left at side of house, I suppose it depends on the courier.
