The Dogmother
What amazing hens! The colouring suggests that they have a lot of RIR in them, but those legs are pure game bird, and a big one at that! They should be good layers with some RIR blood. mrs chook
Look like some RIR I would say, they're gonna be HUGE when fully grown could do with some of those to keep the dog and kids in check-they look intriguing, but a bit scary too
SAB
My white sussex/aracuna cross (no where as big as those pictured) is a bit taller than standard chooks due to crazy long (blue!) legs and huge feet - when walking about she looking like some sort of wading bird! SAB
Henthusiac - I have been intending to get to grips with posting pics for a while but have never got round to it - will try to do something about it soon!
mayflower
They definately look like old English game birds crossed with something else to me.
HENthusiastic
Is that a bit of an unusual cross? It certainly looks like it. Why would somebody cross a game bird with something known for being a good egg layer? Will they lay huge eggs? I cant wait for them to grow up.
