The vet just opened up her mouth and popped them in this morning, but now I'm back home I haven't a clue how I'm going to immobilise her and pop the pill in with only 2 hands! Any suggestions? Egluntyne Posted September 22, 2008 Share Posted September 22, 2008 Wrap her in a towel to stop her flapping. Prize her beak open and place the pill at the back of her tongue. ValR Posted September 23, 2008 Author Share Posted September 23, 2008 This morning I ground it up with some mealworms and a bit of yoghurt and it went down a treat. This evening she turned her nose up at it, so I had to try the grabbing her in a towel and putting it down her throat. How did the vet make it look so easy? I now have one very disgruntled chicken who's hiding from me and wouldn't even be tempted out with a mealworm.
