Guest
got them from a lady on freecycle. I think they're ripe (we picked them ourselves from her tree) but I'm in the process of peeling, chopping and freezing them but they have no core or pips. I'm wonering if it's because they're not ripe or are they a variety that has solid flesh? anyone know http://www.liverpoolpoet.talktalk.net/220908.1.jpg
Ain't Nobody Here
I know nowt about those kind of things, but they look like the Conference pears you get in the supermarket (not that I get my fruit & veg from them any more ). Guest
thanks, are they ripe then if there's no core or pips? I've only ever really eaten tinned pears!
Lesley
They are Conference and should have dark pips if they are ripe
