Since our move at the beginning of July we have been on free dial up from AOL due to their incompetence in connecting us to broadband. I can only use the internet via internet explorer. I cannot send or receive any emails.

 

I have just tried to log into Photobucket and my password is invalid This is strange because I use the same password here and on photobucket. Anyway I have pressed the "forgot password button" and now I need to get into my emails to see what photobucket's reply is

 

Does anyone know how to do this? I need Fred

 

I really do not know why we are still with AOL. OH choice, not mine. Nearly three months without emails is driving me insane and dial up is so slow

 

I was hoping to show you some pictures of the Cottage by the Castle and some of the Yorkshire girls and was prepared to spend all morning here while they uploaded/downloaded whatever it is

 

Help me please

 

Oh and by the way, any replies will have to be in easy plain English as I am a computer numpty

why dont you log onto www.hotmail.co.uk and create a new email account???

 

its free and you can start using it straight away....simple instructions on the site...

 

not sure why you cant just log onto www.aol.co.uk or com?? and access your email from there...you just connect up from internet explorer??

 

could be that I just didnt understand your post properly

 

my sister is always having problems with her computer...I work in computers, and used to build htem years ago..and then managed a darn shop selling them...so have heard every (often funny..boardering on hilarious)problem to do with them ..

 

you'd be amazed how many alternatives there are to getting speakers on a new computer linked up...its just like that programme on TV the IT Crowd

Can't help with the email problem, but do you know you can now get pics from the gallery to appear in your posts? Courtesy of Fred! If I remember rightly you right click on the pic you want, then copy and paste the url into your post. Highlight it again once in your post and click on the Img tag above. Voila!

Yep it does! But I chose a thumbnail, click on the thumbnail and choose the URL for the bigger pic if you want it larger

i did misread..you need to log onto http://www.aol.com or http://www.aol.co.uk whichever you use and logon to your email from there.....just change the address bar on the top to http://www.aol.co.uk, once you have opened up internet explorer.

 

sorry to probably give too much detail, as I said my sister often has problems and asks for similar advice....she didnt realise you could log onto aol...from IE
