Mash is an alternative to pellets so they could have that anytime. I don't give mine many other treats other than s"Ooops, word censored!"s from the kitchen which doesn't amount to much. I only give them this late in the afternoon / early evening. They also have a handful of corn or mealworms in the evening to get them back in the run for the night.

Mine have dry layers mash and pellets available to them all the time in the hanging feeders and grubs.

Every morning at about 6.30am I give them wet layers mash with poultry spice, limestone flour, cod liver oil and a teaspoon of marmite dissolved in hot water.

Then, I give them treats in the form of fruit, corn on the cob, dried mixed corn or sweetcorn, etc. when I get home from work at about 5.30pm.
