4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

Hello. I am new to chicken keeping so I would appreciate some advice please. I picked up my 3 girls last week and they all seem fine and in good health. (Pullets 16 weeks?)

 

They seem to have got over their initial shock of moving home, they eat and drink regularly, and we are slowly getting them used to being handled, however we have noticed that they seem to spend most of the day inside the eglu. When we encourage them outside, they seem happy enough while they are there but eventually slope off home. Is this OK??

When I first got my girls I was concerned as it seemed they spent a lot of time in the Eglu however after a few days getting them back inside became the issue. They will be fine. I promise Before they started laying I would shut the Eglu door to encourage them to stay outside. Now that they are laying they only go inside to lay and when they put themself to bed.

All nomal and nothing to worry about. My little ones still go inside their Eglu quite a bit. They are around 17 weeks now.

 

So long as they are eating and drinking and bobbing for part of the day, they will be fine.

Thanks guys, and good idea about keeping the door shut. I will give that a go so at least they get used to the wide wide world for a bit.
