Patridge bantam chicken poorly foot?

Hurrah.... our first egg !!!!

 

My daughters had been playing in the garden with the chickens when one of them came running in shouting 'mummy come quickly!'. I wondered what on earth had happened.

 

When she managed to calm herself down, she told me that Melody had laid an egg. Then we were all jumping up and down

 

It's a lovely egg too - 60g.

 

Liberty's started moulting today, so hopefully we'll get an egg from her in a couple of days
