kannie
Sounds like fun, Martin! Congratulations on winning! Was the project for only one day, or is something else going to develop from it?

Mrs Frugal
Has your school got a Young Enterprise system, Martin? Maybe you're too young at the moment but my Dad used to run the Peterborough one when I was at school so I was encouraged into it. We set up a company, thought of a name for it, allocated positions within the company and decided on a product to make, then sell. I did it for 2 years and loved it. We made three dimensional noughts and crosses games from scratch one year and coasters from ceramic tiles the next year and made a profit selling to friends, family and around the school. If they have one in your area, go for it! It's great fun and teaches you no end about business and selling products. Don't know if it's still run the same way as it was when I was younger but I know we've still got groups at the school I used to go to! Martin B
My Uncle is Head of Business Studies and Economics at Kenilworth College. he runs the young enterprise between the sixth formers. I always read about them and even had a few shares in Plan-it designs! They were a good company and sold mini whiteboards. They have to go to markets, craft fairs, shows etc. I would like to do it when I am older, Apricot will get bigger!
