anyone keep frizzles?

Recommended Posts

I've no experience but thinking of doing this myself - 2 (or 3  ) - Pekin bantams to my two big girls.

From reading on here you have to take the intros VERY slowly and have seperate accomodation for them from the start. It either works or it doesn't.

If it doesn't work you would have to go on keeping them separate.

But there are quite a few omleteers who have managed successfully to introduce smaller chooks.

I would love to have some frizzles but can't find any anywhere. Please let me know if you find some. As regards their suitability to be kept with your other girls, it all depends on size. There is some excellent advice in the FAQ section on introductions, which need to be done slowly, and you would need some separate housing for the new girls until they were fully integrated. I have 2 bantams living harmoniously with my big hens, so it can be done, but I took ages over the intros.
