Butterscotch button biscuits

125g butter/marg

1 teasp vanilla essence

1/2 cup brown sugar firmly packed

1 tablesp golden syrup

1 1/4 cups of SR flour

 

 

Beat butter, essence, sugar and syrup in small bowl with electric beater until light and fluffy, stir in flour and roll in to level teasp balls and put on greased oven try - flatter slightly with a fork bake in a slow oven for about 20 minutes or until firm - I had to leave them longer and cool on wire racks

 

supposed to make about 75 but I made slightly bigger ones :oops:
